Mt Hermon Series: Ropes Course

mt-hermon-header-1-of-1

Sarah is literally sitting right next to me and still won’t write one of these posts. She’s obsessed with twitter and Kenneth Bone. One of my favorite activities at camp was the ropes course. I found it to be legitimately scary but also super fun.  There was a sweet free fall jump that was probably my favorite part.  Big thanks to Caroline for snapping some amazing shots of all of us.

Mt Hermon Series: Santa Cruz

Welp, you’re stuck with me.  Sarah’s lost in the deep dark world of searching for something to watch on Netflix. As I mentioned in the last post we took the train down to Santa Cruz.  After arriving and eating some lunch Grammy and Grandpa Taylor graciously took Jack back up on the early train while Ben, Megan, Sarah and I harnessed our inner teenager by buying an all you can ride pass for the boardwalk.  I was surprised how much fun it was but Sarah and I were only good for one trip on Fireball, must be a parent thing.

Mt Hermon Series: Train Day

mt-hermon-header-1-of-1Sarah’s too busy catching up on Narcos so I’m stuck with another post.  One day during the week all the usual activities are cancelled and everyone goes into Santa Cruz either by bike, hiking, or best of all via the train.  The train takes you through the redwood forest and it’s a lot of fun as you’re in open air cars so you’re able to take in all the beauty.  Jack and I were the only ones that chose the train for the ride in while the rest of the family hiked it into Santa Cruz but then bummed it back on the train.  Once in Santa Cruz your left to your hearts desires but we’ll cover what we did there in one of the next posts.

Mt Hermon Series: Spike Ball

mt-hermon-header-1-of-1

We spent a week with the Taylor/Moe clan up at a family camp called Mt Hermon. We have  loads of photos and stories so we thought we’d try and break it up into a few separate posts.  To keep it simple I’ll start with some shots of Jack’s parents and his Taylor Uncles and Aunt playing Spike Ball on the main field amongst redwood trees.  The game is super fun and probably better suited to be memorialized in a video vs photos, but nonetheless there are still some good shots. Hopefully SJayTayBay will come out of retirement and write more interesting intros to the next part in the series.
